The Retreat is nestled in a serene location ideal for touring the whole of North Devon and Cornwall and offers an idyllic getaway. The South West Coastal Path is famous for its spectacular walking environment and choice of excellent beaches to enjoy and coves to explore.
If surfing is your thing the excellent surfing beaches at Bude, which has three Blue Flag beaches, Westward Ho! the nearest Blue Flag beach to us, which offers two miles of golden sand backed by a unique pebble ridge and Braunton with its golden sands and one of the UK largest sand dunes are close by.
The fishing village of Clovelly, with its steep stepped cobbled streets and quaint harbour is close by as are the villages of Hartland and Woolsery with shops and village pubs.
Local attractions include The Milky Way, Hartland Abbey, Hartland Point and Lighthouse and RHS Rosemoor Gardens. Alternatively, why not sit in the garden and relax whilst enjoying stunning countryside and coastal views during the day and in the evening unwind while gazing at a star-studded sky.
The accommodations are beautifully furnished, providing a luxurious feel that enhances your stay. One of the highlights is undoubtedly with minimal light and sound pollution.
There is a choice of supermarkets, Tesco Superstore (Manteo Way, Bideford, EX39 4AJ), Lidl (Clovelly Road, Bideford, EX39 3QU) or Co-Op (Mill Street, Bideford, EX39 2JT) all within a 15 minute drive.
The Retreat comprises of three luxury cottages;
Owl Barn - a spacious four bedroom conversion with private outdoor space and hot tub. Dogs welcome.
House Martin - a large two bedroom first floor apartment with private outdoor space and hot tub.
Swallow - a two bedroom ground floor apartment with open plan kitchen/dining and living area. Dogs welcome.
All properties have access to the private and secure paddock to allow your dogs to run free.
There is a shared seating area with a charcoal BBQ.
